Lessons

Lessons are specifically designed to meet the rider’s goals – from the young equestrian learning grooming, tacking and developing a balanced seat, to the experienced 3’6” jumper learning the intricate techniques necessary to achieve the next level or the dressage rider seeking to move through the levels.

All Katt’s students – hunter, jumper and dressage – learn the balanced seat method, based on the classical German pyramid of training. Katt’s belief that each level of jumping is equal to a level of dressage underlies training in all disciplines. All Lucky Shoe riders are quizzed orally as to their level of understanding of the lessons they are learning each week – thus making the time on horseback part of an interactive learning environment.
