Lucky Shoe Farm Summer Camp 2020
Lucky Shoe Farm’s 2020 camp counselor is Angeline Tirado who is currently a Junior and Honors student at Southern Lehigh High School. She has been riding for over 11 years and is part of Katt Mills Jumper and Dressage teams. Angeline was a working student at Lucky Shoe Farm for 3 years and was voted Junior Team leader since 2018 for LSF’s riding club. Angeline qualified and competed at the Colonial Classics Jumper championships in 2018 and Dressage for Kids in 2019 where she placed first in her 3rd level riding class.
Summer Camp Schedule for 2022

Ages 5 to 16
A camper's day will include:
- Individual and semi-private riding lessons. We use ponies of all sizes and accommodate different heights.
- Learning the fundamentals of a balanced seat and horsemanship skills
- Learning about parts of the horse, parts of the saddle and bridle, grooming techniques, and the importance of proper horse care.
- Horse related games and crafts.
- Taking care of an assigned “care horse” which the campers will manage for the week by learning the horse’s diet and exercise program to ensure the horse’s needs are met.
- Developing a love and respect for horses and the sport.
- Weekly field trip or demonstration.
- The week ends with a horse show where the campers can demonstrate what he/she has learned that week.
Advance Week
- A week full of IHSA style riding.
- Great for students planning on riding in college.
- Previous riding experience necessary.
- Fun activities such as swimming and field trips.
- Advanced daily lessons on horse health, wound care, and illness.
What your camper should bring:
- Bagged Lunch (Microwave and Fridge available).
- Paddock boots or shoes with a heal. Shorts and T-shirt's are permitted, however jeans, jodphurs, or breeches are a must while riding.
- Your own riding helmet and gloves are suggested. Riding helmet will be provided if needed.
- Sunscreen and a smile (:
What your camper should NOT bring:
- Sweatpants, sneakers, spaghetti-strapped shirts, and bike helmets are not permitted for riding.
- No open-toed shows, valuables or toys
Cost:
For just $350.00 per week, your child can spend their days enjoying something they love. If you would like to enroll more than one child, there will be a $50 per week discount for the second (and third, etc.) child.
